procedure
- Make ball out of wet soil.
- Cut the ball with sharp knife.
- Observer it while cutting for the strength required and the friction with the knife.
Interpretation
- If the strength required is more then soil has more sand and if less then it has more clay.
- If there is more friction with knife then it has more sand and if then than it has more clay.
- If the cut surface is dull then it has more silt and if the surface is shiny then it has more clay.
